I have been studying scientific illustration with Michael Cooley this past year to fill in some of the gaps I have in my formal illustration training.  Below are a few of my pieces!

The sphere -- my first attempt at "true to life" shading with graphite.  It's a little rough in places, but it's a start!

Styrofoam head -- I think this piece is creepy.  It is a drawing of a styrofoam head, so the eyes have no irises and the anatomy is not exactly perfect.  I think it looks like an alien!!

Human Skull -- The skull has been my illustration challenge.  It took me quite a while (and 2 or so initial failed attempts) before I really started to get into it.  Below are a series of images that track the progression of the final piece from start to finish!!
