Day off in Granada

Day 3 was our first rainy day in Spain.  After our first two epic days of riding (at that point Puerto del Sol still felt pretty epic!!) the break was welcome.  I wasn't fully over the jet lag and was happy for a chance to doze throughout the morning before we took a sight-seeing trip into Granada.

The Spanish towns are amazing in the mix of old and new architecture.  John was our loyal tour guide and would randomly stop us saying matter of fact tone, "oh, by the way that arch was probably built by the Romans."  The marmalade orange trees were abundant throughout the city.  They look so juicy and delicious, but you are in for a tart surprise if you eat one!!
